  1. When I was a Jehovah’s Witness I listened to some Gospel music. One of my favourite’s was “We fall down” by Donnie McCurklin or however you spell his name. Anyway, the reason most Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t listen to Gospel music is because it puts more emphasis on praising Jesus, God’s son, and not God himself. Yes they are thankful for Jesus sacrifice and all, but really who is more important. The person who sacrificed his life, or the person who made such a sacrifice in the first place and created you and I? Hope this helps.

  2. Thanks for your reply, though I’m not sure how this relates to my original post.

I understand the JW position that Jesus is actually Michael, the Archangel. My question is, where are the Scriptures that say this is the case?

Even limiting ourselves to the JW’s NWT Translation, I don’t believe this view can be supported. Consider Rev. 17:14, which describes Jesus as being “Lord of lords and King of kings” and Eph 1:21 which says he is “far above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name named, not only in this system of things, but also in that to come.” Also check out how Hebrews 1 describes Jesus.

I encourage you to examine whether or not Jesus is an angel, and, if not, who is he?
